RIP Minou
There will be no more cat cuddles anymore. Last night Minou was run over by a car and died. Minou was a super cute crazy cat that we were lucky to have with us for 3 years.
She was 2 years when we got her from an animal shelter. She changed from a a super shy cat to a family member that secretly did love to cuddle and be held. Her favorite place to sleep was Oliver's pillow.
I will miss her dearly. I'm sure that the people that followed me on Instagram will miss her too.
RIP sweet Minou. I hope you find Schwarzkopf and that you become the best of friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. :( I lost one of my cats 1 year ago, she was poisoned, so... I think I know how you feel. She will be missed, for sure!
ReplyDeleteOh, Simone, I'm so sorry for you :( She will be missed, but we won't forget her. She's probably cuddling with Schwarzkopf right now. My thougts are with you dear.
ReplyDeleteI lost my dog a year ago and I miss him very very much. What happed with Minou is so sad, but always remember that she loved you and Oliver and Vincent and will miss you a lot too! I am sure that Minou and Schwarzkopf will watch over you family and love you from Heaven (because all animals can go nowhere but to Heaven) for the rest of eternity!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, Smoon... Web will miss her too! :(
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked! Miss Minou was a adorable and super cut cat, lovely by all the epicans fans. How a special animal like this could be die?
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, I lost my pet at the same way ... I know very well how you feeling now. I'm sorry for you loss :(
And I wish that Minou rest in peace <3
Omg :'(

Hugs and kisses to you Simone :(
i really know how you feel...i lost Luna and my dog in 2009/2010...i'm sad anymore :(
I'm so sorry for you, Simone... Animals become a very important part of the family, and it's so sad to live every day without them... I've got a cat, she's almost 17, it's impossible for me to think about a life without her...
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry dear Simone! :( I know you must be suffering because you loved Minou and we all know, pets are part of the family. I will miss Minou also! I hope you can overcome this pain, strength and love for you!
ReplyDeleteXO
I am so sorry Simone.... I am really sad and crying right now. I know how you feel. I am sure she will find Captain above and they will play for all the eternity :'(
ReplyDeleteNuuuuuuu, Minou!!! I wanna cry T.T my mother ruined my childhood saying that there's no a heaven for animals.. But I know she was wrong, we share the heaven and we'll meet all again some day.. Don't be sad, I'm sure she was really happy with you :3
ReplyDeleteWe are with you Simone <3 I am sure, that now Minou, is in a better place <3 R.I.P.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that Simone.
ReplyDeleteWherever he is, he will be watching over you, because you were a truly angel on earth for him. He will be forever missed, you should be proud, he was a happy little guy thanks to you and your beautiful family. Huge hugs! Rest in Peace, little Minou.
ReplyDeleteSorry for that :'( Minou last years, lived with full of love...RIP
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss. At least your kitty cat had the chance to have a family unlike many other animals. The most important of all is that Minou was a happy kitty.
ReplyDeleteSorry for that, but i can't understand why you let her out to the street! Animals die in the street, every day, hour, minute! I'm really sorry for Minou i don't know if she was lucky to have a family who let her die in that awful way.
ReplyDeleteI´m so sorry. Poor Minou , I hope she didn´t suffer.
ReplyDeleteShe was so young, sorry for your lost, poor baby Minou. :(
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. I got sad and mad, cause domestic cats are no supposed to stay outdoors, near streets!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. She was way too young :'( It is always hard to loose a beloved pet.
ReplyDeleteRIP Minou. May she rest in peace. Hugs Simone.
ReplyDeleteI'm Sorry
ReplyDeleteThis is a very sad news! RIP Minou :(
ReplyDeletethis is so sad. :( That's why i keep my babies indoor (they have a huge catio). Hugs for you.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to have animals is indoor! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat sad news about her, Simone... RIP. :(
ReplyDeleteMy condolences, very bad news, R.I.P. Minou, sorry to hear that.
ReplyDeleteI'am sure, that now Minou, is in a better place R.I.P. ...We are with you Simone..
ReplyDeleteHere's an idea - how about we empathize with the woman who just lost a beloved pet and save the sanctimonious judgement for later, okay?
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I know all too well how it feels, I have lost several of my feline friends the same way. It's an undescribable pain... But don't give up on having pets because of it, giving a home and lots of love to a homeless animal is one of the most fulfilling things in life, in my opinion. My condolences and take care.
ReplyDeletePoor Minou... I'm so sorry for you, Simone! :(
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear this. I also have a cat that I love as much as a family member. He loves going out during night, having his own will, and I always worry so much, but at least I know that he is very timid and anxious and will run away from danger (I only have to sneeze and he is suddenly in the next room).
ReplyDeleteBefore my family adopted him, there was a stray (more like a really wild) cat that would come to us only to be fed - we put the bowl outside the door leading to the garden, and he would only eat when the door was closed and of course he would never allow us to touch him. This happened over the course of two years. He was more like a distant entity that somehow belonged to this place and to us, since we moved there in beginning of 2011, but also was too independent to belong to anybody. I think that he most feared to lose his freedom. But suddenly, in December of 2012 he allowed himself to come into our house, sit in front of the heating and surprisingly, also being petted. But at the same time his appetite got worse and he couldn't eat properly, his mouth not moving well. We thought that he had some problems with his jaw or theet. I bought cat milk but he wouldn't toucht this. And on the day of Christmas eve, it was a beautiful warm and sunny day then, he came down the hill as he usually did, and came to us. He did even eat a bit of one cat stick. He stayed all evening under the dining table, but in the evening he became so weak that his paws wouldn't carry his weight. Then he couldn't move at all and he suddenly did tremble vigorously. At this point we knew that it was too late. We let him stay in a basked over night in our house, hoping that a miracle would happen. But he passed away during the night. It was the most devastating thing I ever experienced besides losing my Grandfather. That we couldn't help this small grateful creature that came to us in the moment of dire need. That we didn't bring him to the vet earlier (we think that he might have been poisoned - or accidently ate something poisoned). We buried him in our garden and in the warmer times of the year, there are flowers blooming on his grave.
Sorry for the long message. I hope that you will cope with the loss and that you find the strength to adopt another feline creature.
What I feel much Simone, I have also lost animals which were one member in the family and I understand how you feel, I send you a big hug dear... 💜💜💜
ReplyDeleteI´m really, really sorry, Simone... My condolences.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss
ReplyDeleteWhat a rude thing to say in their time of loss. You don't know how Minou got out - it could've been on her own without the family's knowledge. Accidents happen.
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry, Simone. :( Hugs from Seattle, USA.
So sorry for your loss! I'm sure she was adorable as she looks in your photos.
ReplyDeleteSmoontje, I'm so sorry to hear this... She was a gorgeous kitty!.. Hope you are okay, sending big hugs from London.

ReplyDeleteMy heart is with Smoon family.
RIP Minou <3
Oh noo, sad
ReplyDeleteOh nooo, so sad to hear those bad news. Oh little minou. Im so sorry Simone 😰😭
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about that :(
ReplyDeleteIt must be really hard to lose your pet like that. Sometimes I imagine what I'll feel like when my dogs die and I instantly get all teary eyed...
It is more rude how Minou died. But we all have rights to think/express the way we want, I think she should have been more careful about her cat and something like this it wouldn't happened. I know what it feels to lose a pet, I'm not saying that she doesn't feel horrible for what just happened to Minou, I'm just remarking the way the poor cat died...was a human accident. Car driver fault...and Simone fault. That's all.
ReplyDeleteI'm a protectionist, this kind of stuff make me feel really sad and the same time, annoys me.
She was a cute cat, RIP Minou.....
ReplyDeletesorry simone was so cute

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to think that now she is playing with Schwarzkopf...
I do not know how to wish happy birthday.. today you must be so sad..
Big virtual hugs
you can't understand how they "let" a cat out? you have never had a cat, right? "·__·
ReplyDeleteaww nee =( wat erg! sterkte! xx
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a lot of cat, actually I had cats all my entire life, since I was a child, but none of them were near the streets, I saved them from the streets in horrible conditions, so I know they're going to die by a car, by a psycho who poison them, etc...the streets are a very dangerous place for any animal...you know that, right?
ReplyDeleteYeah perhaps they "want" to explore the world...but I know it will hurt them, so yes, I can't Understand why someone would let her cat go out.
I totally support you! I was actually going to tell Simone the exact same thing. Cats are so vulnerable, and I've had cats all my life and I learned the hard way not to let them go outside.
ReplyDeleteSimone, I am so sorry about your loss, and especially so close to your birthday! I know you won't enjoy your 30th as much now because of this!!! I still do hope you try to enjoy your day with your family!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to come across as insensitive, but please, and this is just not for you, but for everyone who owns or thinks about owning a cat in the future, cats are not meant to go outside unsupervised!!! They are extremely vulnerable to all kinds of threats, like cars, dogs, sick people during Halloween (yes, many cats are victims to satanic rituals, believe it or not), illnesses like feline aids, eating poisoned rats and mice, and countless others. If you are concerned that they need to enjoy the outdoors, you can easily buy or build a "catio", which is a cat enclosure in your garden or balcony, which allows cats to enjoy the sunlight, the grass and nature without being exposed to outside threats. Another option if you can't build a cat enclosure is to teach them how to walk on a leash. I successfully taught an adult cat I also rescued from a shelter to walk on a leash! You need a lot more patience than with a dog, but once they learn how to, you can take them on walks to parks or forests and not be afraid of them getting lost, if you have a long enough leash! You need a harness though, not a head collar because cats can wriggle out of head collars very easily. Please Simone, if you ever decide to adopt another cat again, don't let them outside! I learned the hard way not to; I lost a cat to eating a poisoned animal, another one to being hit by a car and another one just never came back. As you wouldn't leave a dog to roam the neighborhood on its own (I hope!!!), so you shouldn't do that with a cat!!!
Once again Simone, I'm sorry for your loss!!!

I'm sorry for your lost Smoon, I know this things are painful because pets are part of our families. Are you OK? I hope so and I'm sure Minou will be forever happy and glad with you and your family for give her the chance to have a home and also for the love she recieved from you and your boys allí this years.
ReplyDeleteHugs and more hugs.
PS, Happy B-day my lady
I am very sorry to hear that. I've been in love with Minou since the day I started follow you. Goodbye Minou :(, I love you.
ReplyDeleteBye Minou, as your lovely human said, people who followed her on Instagram will miss you, yes, you cutest thing!
ReplyDeleteI hope your humans, Smoon and Oliver, not to suffer much because I also has a dear cat that owns my heart and I know I would be a wreck if he gets hurt... I know there must be a good place for all of us to go after this life... I don't believe in God or heaven... But... Smoon will find you again... But you'll have to wait about 100 years, ok?
Lots of cuddles from me and Lynx. R. I. P. Minou.
I must confess. I cried. I'm very sensitive, both with humans and the other animals. And this is really sad. :'(
ReplyDeleteR.I.P minou :(
ReplyDeleteOh no! :( My deepest symphaties for your loss.

ReplyDeleteI will miss seeing her on all of your Instagram posts. I know how hard it is to lose an animal and to have something so beautiful taken at such a young age is horrible. I hope that you find solace in the music that you make and that you gave her an amazing life.
ReplyDeleteNice to have news from you! I also had the day to myself (won a contest so I could be spoiled in a party by Weleda, one of my all time favorite organic cosmetic brand) here in Strasbourg! :) I have a tip for you, for better health: warm lemon water! Works wonders, I guarantee! You need to squeeze half lemon in a cup of warm water, and drink it first thing in the morning. Choose organic lemon, if you can! I'm sure you will stop being sick so often and it will give a nice healtg boost! :) Have an amazing trip and upcoming tour! :*
